In order to be the parent we desire to be to our children we must work on ourselves first. No matter what type of childhood or upbringing you come from, life happens. And to be honest, the majority of us do not know how to cope with what life throws at us.
I am not claiming I know it all about mental health or motherhood. I am learning new things daily about both! But I do know how hard it is to show up and be a good mom when you need to be cared for first.
I refuse to let my anxiety or emotional baggage write my story as a mom to my children, so here I am writing my own.
